The Burton Creek Trail Run takes place on a beautiful, fun and challenging trail system within Burton Creek State Park near Tahoe City, CA. The course features miles of single track through pine forests and high sierra meadows.

Burton Creek drains the runoff from Mt. Watson into Lake Tahoe. You’ll see and hear the creek often and June is a great wildflower time of year as well. Choose between from the 6K, 12K, Half Marathon or 50K. Also bring the kids as we offer age appropriate distance kids races for those 4 and older.

Race start is located at, Highlands Community Center, 938 Country Club Dr, Tahoe City, CA 96145

How to Register

Online Registration

  • By CREDIT CARD available through MIDNIGHT on – June 19, 2015
  • By CHECK available post marked by June 8, 2015. Note, mailed to Imathlete.

On-Site Registration/Packet Pick Up

  • On Race Day. See venue map for directions.

Refund Policy

Refunds are not available for this event for any reason, including cancellation, inclement weather or athlete injury. We also strictly do not allow athlete-to-athlete transfers, for any reason.

Cancellation Policy:

If the event is NOT sold out, a discount code for 75% of your race registration fee will be offered until 14 days prior to the race date. No discounts codes will be given within 14 days prior to the race date.

Discount codes can be used to register for another Big Blue Adventure, LLC event and will be valid through the following event year (2015 discounts valid until 12/31/2016)

Changes to your registration:
We allow you to make changes to your registration up until 7 days, Friday June 12, 2015, prior to the event. Such as announcer information, T-shirt size, etc.

Changes to your class:
We allow you to make changes to your class up until 7 days prior to the event. For example moving from 5K to 10K or Half distance, etc. Participants will be charged an additional $10.00 to change the class starting on Sunday June 7, 2015 and ending Sunday June 14, 2015. This fee is in addition to the difference of class prices. Changes to class prior to June 7, 2015 do not incur the $10 fee.

  • Age Group/Gender, 5-year (14-19, 20-24, etc.) based on age as of 12/31 in the race year
