Race Details
Welcome to the Northstar Mountain Run. Join us for this classic 10.6K run starting at the Village At Northstar and finishing at the top of the Tahoe Zephyr Express.
The course start smack dab in the middle of the Village At Northstar and quickly turns offroad ascending single track and double track, offering scenic views of Lake Tahoe, wildflowers and the Sierra.
While taking in the views, racers will be challenged with gradual climbs until they reach near the top of Mt. Pluto and then contour across to the top of the Tahoe Zephyr Express. The run starts at 6,350′, tops out at 8383′ and ends at 7894′. Bring your friends and family. They can meet you at the finish and have a fun adventure on the way taking the Gondola and Tahoe Zephyr Lift.

Course Description
Starting in the Village At Northstar the course winds it way along the cobbled streets and then heads up the Village Run from the base of the Big Springs Express Gondola. It then turn right on 6% heading just below the water towers. Next is a left turn onto Easy Rider, connecting back to Village Run. Then the course connects onto Kickback just below the split rail fence at the base of the Vista lift. A short connection on fire-road then leads to the Sawmill Lake Hiking Trail. This trail then leads to Tryumph (fire road) where it turns right. From here the course stays on Tryumph then turns left onto Snake just at the base of the Rendezvoux lift. Snake then leads up to the top of the Vista Lift. Here the course leads onto the Tahoe Trail. The course follows the Tahoe Trail to East Ridge where it turns left and then continues near the top of Mt. Pluto and then contours to the Tahoe Zephyr Express and the finish.

Refund Policy
Refunds are not available for this event for any reason, including cancellation, inclement weather or athlete injury. We also strictly do not allow athlete-to-athlete transfers, for any reason.
Cancellation Policy:
If the event is NOT sold out, a discount code for 75% of your race registration fee will be offered until 14 days prior to the race date. No discounts codes will be given within 14 days prior to the race date.
If the event IS sold out, a discount code for 100% of your race registration fee will be offered until 21 days prior to the race date.
Discount codes can be used to register for another Big Blue Adventure, LLC event and will be valid through the following event year (2015 discounts valid until 12/31/2016)
Changes to your registration:
We allow you to make changes to your registration up until 7 days (Sunday August 02, 2015 ) prior to the event. Such as announcer information, T-shirt size, etc.
Changes to your class:
We allow you to make changes to your class up until 7 days prior to the event. For example moving from 5K to 10K or Half distance, etc.
